Hi all i will be moving into a new house in the next couple of months and i am planning on getting broadband setup but i am unsure of which provider i should use. All of the main ones (bt, orange, aol) are about the same price but there are also the sky and virgin packages where you can get tv included as well. so people who would you reccomend and do you think that the tv packages are worth it????

thanks

Personally I use BT, but think its way overpriced. I pay 35 ish a month - line rental, braodband and calls. I reckon the cable TV/Phone/BBand packages are worth it but as for which one? I dunno!
I pay 20 a month for broadband and cable tv from Virgin Media.

I don't have a land line - I use VOIP.

30 for broadband, tv and telephone with Virgin, plus the price of phone calls.

Sky looks cheaper - 27, I think - but you need to add the 11 approx BT phone line on to that.
For broadband alone, I would highly recommend Eclipse Broadband : http://www.eclipse.net.uk/index.cfm?id=fixedma in_res

From 14.99 a month you have a 20GB download limit (only from 6pm-12am, any other time it's unlimited).

As for the whole combi deals, I know that Sky broadband (with deals) came 3rd from last in the Which? magazine trail. And also the Virgin package (standard) is pretty much like freeview but with the addition of Sky Movies and Sky Sports.

Personally I'd just stick to broadband at the moment.

Just a word of warning here aviod tiscali like the plauge and that is not just my opinion there have been loads of bad reports not only on here but many other sources and the year that I had to spend with them was the most awfullest of my life for being online, and even now after I left them over a year ago a debt collecter has conntacted me saying that they are chasing me on behalf of tiscali saying that I owe them 82 even though I demanded a letter from tiscali when I left them sAYING THAT i HAD PAID ANY MONEY THAT I OWED THEM (whoops bl o ody caps lock) and they did send this but its been well over a year now so still dont have the letter and this is the first that I have been informened of this money that I am supposed to owe, and I have heard of this sort of thing happening to other people about tiscali....
