How do I share files between my main PC and my laptop ?
I am connected via a wireless router - if I simply set the properties of the folder to "shared" - It will allow anyone who wants to see it ?

Right click the folder and select sharing and security, then check the box for share this folder on the network. This will only share on the network not share with everyone on the net.

You have to set up a 'workgroup' first and make sure both pcs have the same workgroup name.

Only pcs in this workgroup will be able to see the files.
