Woke up today to our usual pile of post in our porch, which is always left on top of a wicker box. Underneath the pile of letters is a huge box of M & S shortbread. No label, no name, no idea who from...... not from neighbours (though why would they lol). How odd!!

Lol can’t see our postie being in a bizarre generous mood!! No name on them at all.....
perhaps a shoplifter was being pursued and he offloaded the evidence?

Are you a Russian double agent living under an assumed name? Could be a plot by (former KGB head) President Putin to poison you with sarin.

Damn!

I should have known that hitman I hired wouldn't be able to read my writing. The note I gave him actually read "Smowball - Shot dead"! You just can't trust anyone to do a job properly these days, can you?

Solved!!! Another neighbour who heard that it was Mr Smows birthday on Monday, and thought that like most people we wouldn’t have been able to go anywhere nor have anyone over decided to buy him a treat. How lovely is that!?? X
I worked for the DWP and we didn't get many gifts - usually insults thrown at us and things thrown in our direction.

One day a little old lady brought in a cake as a gift.
It was cut into servings and just as I was about to take a bite out of my portion someone said - "What if she poisoned it?" - even though it was unlikely most of us couldn't eat it.

☺☺
I reckon, the Postie, stopped off at M&S to get some biscuits and accidently picked them up with letters. Or, as he was walking to your house, someone in vicinity, gave him them as a thank you, and put them down with your post. :-)
