I`ve never had a good wine from Aldi or Lidl. They tend to lack body IMO. The Cavas and champs are good though

Plenty of us wouldn't mind shopping all the time at Waitrose, but find we get excellent products at the downmarket supermarkets. Life is too short to be a shopping snob...;-)

I`m not a fan of Waitrose because they are very good at telling people how wonderful they are and people buy into that. Good marketing.

No need to be snobby about shops....I shop at Waitrose AND Lidl....both very good at what they do.

I also shop at Waitrose and Lidl. I go to Waitrose when I have received vouchers from them and I have vouchers from my Partnership card.

Bought a South African Chenin Blanc/Chardonnay wine from W this week. I didn't like it. Far too heavy and cloying.
