how do you get past the page where they ask for a mobile number when you have to register your details if you don,t have one, some sites insist on it before you can buy anything ,just entering a line of dots or zeros wont work

Make one up or use a friends or relatives number.

tried n/a but it doesn,t like that it just keeps saying invalid with a red error message
and no relative or friend uses one either,if I made one up would the person who's number I borrowed be able to find out if it really existed, I had thought about looking on google for a few random numbers but didn,t dare do that in case I got found out

It has to begin with 07, so just add 9 random numbers after that.

I too resent the implied precondition that you buy and run a mobile phone as a prerequisite for being considered as a customer. This is a widespread practice.

I have to admit that I just type a line of random numbers. I often feel slightly guilty that some unsuspecting person whose real number corresponds to my made up number may be receiving calls from my online sellers.
