For no apparent reason, when I open a new window, it always opens as a small window. I know I can click to make it fill the screen, but why has my PC started doing this since yesterday?

Open the window, then use the borders to resize the window larger, then close the window.

Next time it open it SHOULD open at the new size.

sometimes it takes more than one attempt to resize - maybe about 3-4 times then it will remain on the large window.
