What's going on .. every time I try to browse around the page keeps freezing and up pops a box saying 'Recover webpage' ... this only happens on Answerbank.
I have cleared the cache, run a scan and I am up to date with my MS updates.
If I use Chrome I have no problems ... I just prefer Internet Explorer.

No. I didn't post this. My computer must have been hacked. Honest, Ed! https://adblockplus.org/

Most of the problems that occur with AB seem to be related to poor scripting within the ads. So, the obvious question has to be "are you using the-software-which-shall-remain-nameless-here in order to get rid of them"?
why not open Chrome just to read AB? You can keep IE open at the same time for everything else.
I've been getting issues with the android browser, but mobiles are so flakey anyway I just assumed it was the phone. Maybe it is in my case.
Just a few of my thoughts for you to think about.

IE 11 was developed for Windows 8, then was modified for Windows 8.1 and subsequently adapted for Windows 7, by being 'patched-up'.

In view of the fact that IE 11 has developed numerous incompatibilities with a number of Internet sites, you are left with the alternatives of reverting to your previous edition of IE (probably IE 9) or adopting a more reliable Browser. My choice would be to avoid Google Chrome and settle for Firefox; which does have a similar feel to IE , but is more reliable.

I had this issue on this site and the support staff told me to add it to the compatibility view list and to tick view all websites in compatibility view .To do this click on the tools cog in the RH top corner and click on compatibility settings when the box opens in the LH side add it to the list and tick show all websites in compatibility view. You have to open the Answer Bank site first to do these settings.
