Hi
Does anyone know why my desktop wallpaper will not stay in place now that I've updated my iMac? Once set it would remain until I changed it but now it defaults to a standard wallpaper each time I switch off. Driving me nuts.

How have you been setting it?

By choosing a photo from my photo folder and clicking set as desktop. It's always worked until I downloaded this latest update.

Have you tried setting your desktop image via System Preferences > Desktop & Screensaver?

Yes Snags, same thing happens. It disappears when you switch off. There was never a problem with the old op system.
It can't be a problem. Macs are so easy to use it must be obvious. @@
Your desktop preference setting may be corrupt.

Thanks everyone, especially the last from Milvus. At least I'm not the only one struggling with this. Will try the suggestions on the discussion.
