I've just registered with a large garden supplies website and when I went to log on this message came up..

Is it anything to worry about? I don't shop on the internet very often, I'm a bit paranoid. :)

Morning... oops... afternoon all, here I is...yesterday was so lovely I had to make the most of it, and as per usual, overdo it. I was good for nowt by teatime. It's mild again today but the sun's struggling to show it's face.

I'm pleased it went well for your OH jno, hope it wasn't too traumatic and it's all good from now on. Plenty of rest... for both of you.
I watched the spdr video, it's unpleasant but not that bad, I've seen worse. :)

I quite enjoyed The Great Fire, I might watch again on iplayer, I'd like to keep pausing it to take in all the detail of the surroundings and clothes....and what about those wigs!

AFternoon all, I've been busy, had to buy a pacha baby outfit for a friend's baby, then take it down to her friend who is going back tomorrow, then collect some money for Mr N from a job. Then I decided to put up a venetian blind whilst Mr N is absent, bearing in minbd that I am not allowed a drill, so I've been making holes with a hammer and a screwdriver, and finally got all the holes in, and managed to screw the two side supports (albeit slightly wonky) put in the middle top support and hung the blind, one yank to close it and the whole kit and caboodle came crashsing down landing on table and scattering wooden spoons, knives etc to the 4 winds, well 4 corners of the house, tried again and have given up. Tried to put the bamboo blind back on and of course I have removed the hooks, so hammered in a couple of nails and it is holding for now. Hate it when things do not work out!! Now having a cuppa.
Of course I did not have a ladder so was balancing on a fluffy red pouffe, no wonder it didn't work!!
ah, it's a poor workman who blames his pouffe.
Lol Neti. You want to get a man that does!!

Had a lovely lunch at a pub called The Jonty Farmer. Bro, Fuscia, Swlftd and Aunty and Uncle. I had a slice of beef and ale pie. I could see Dad enjoying that. We had a good natter about all sorts of things like ha do!
I'm now home and listening to The Rams beating Reading 2-0. But it's not over yet. Cuppa tea time in a minute or two.
Hope you're all having a good day.
Robi and Jno I might be tempted to watch the spider video in a minute.
I have to say I thought the The Great Fire was a Documentary until I started to watch it.
I saw the spider video but all I saw was a scar not a spdr in sight, or have I missed something?
that's all there was, neti, the spider was hiding. (Must have heard you were coming.)

Got a beef and ale pie in the oven now, it feels like the right weather for something warm.
This is an island of pouffes but they are usually pink!!

Mr N thoroughly enjoyed being back with his golfing pals, he told them that I had given him an ultimatum ( sort of true) that he goes back to golf or I divorce him, and he said that golf is cheaper!!

I made some concoction for dinner, bit of a jar of oriental veggies, bit of a packet of pork and veg, some old spag, and a defrosted chicken breast and 5 spice powder, it sort of turned out OK.

Haven't told him about the disaster with the blind yet, maybe tomorrow!!!!!

oight oight each and every ...................
glad you and Mr N are happy. I had potato pancakes for tea, I love them.
nice pie, shared with OH, who is feeling fine but taking things easy for a while. Supposed to cut down on salt and eat oily fish twice a week (ugh) and has some sort of support/exercise group to go to once a week, and has to keep taking the pills indefinitely, but really is doing quite well.
Good morning folks, jno did you make the beef and ale pie yourself or buy it ready made, I'd like the recipe.

Of course we are happy woofy, it's just that I cannot be with anyone for 24/7, so I whinge and moan if he (or hija for that matter) are around the house all day, it's a very small house.

We have friends here again so off for a jolly today with them, no idea where we are going or where we will end up. They are very English and only eat English food, so garlic will be out!!
A question re Grantchester- the vicar was in Happy Valley, was he the evil one who was the boy's father? surely not, he looks so nice now.
we don't make pie, neti, in fact I don't think we make very much apart from the occasional soup, but as we have had to lay off most of the staff except for a couple of parlourmaids we got that one from Waitrose. It was rather nice.

Looking rather dim out there but I don't think Tropical Storm Gonzalo arrives until tomorrow.
horror of horrors, this morning I was looking at my rather bad handywork re the blind, and have noticed that one of the side pieces has been put on the wrong way round, surely this can't have made the blind fall down 2x? Hope he's away tomorrow so I can rectify it and hopefully get the blind up and in it's place.
Oh jno. don't I know about having to let staff go? such a bind!

Morning all...lovely one it is too but the breeze is getting up. I'm just watching the squirrel feasting on sunflower hearts.
That's great news about your OH jno, keep up the good work.

Neti, re Grantchester...yes, that's him. It's been discussed on here more than once I think.

Dear Mr Netibiza....may I bring to your attention the state of your blind.....

oh dear, if you've hung it so the blind has to be pulled up instead of down, I can see this might cause problems. It probably needs looking at by a professional golfer.
Morning all
Damp and drizzly here ,though it's supposed to brighten up .
Glad your OH is alright Jno .You'll have to stock up on sdns .No cooking involved ,just plonk 'em on tst.
Nothing doing here ,same old aches and pains ,hope you're all ok.
Good morning all, we had gusty buffetty wind last night, so a restless one with the dogs (are you as bored as I am with my saying that?) anyway day of rest today, we are all happily lolling around. My staff are off on holiday to america for two weeks. I have given my orders regarding postcards.
I know you two are happy Neti, i meant happy with Mr N's gift :)
Evening all, just got back home, am shattered and sober. Had quick warm bath, cuppa and some sultana cake from my borthday hamper, it was very nice.

We all went to Ibiza and then walked up to the cathedral, I was shattered, so out of condition, I couldn't believe I was struggling, of course the young whippersnappers I was with bounced about! grrr. We then meandered down through the pretty old town (they have removed all the gypos now and it is beautiful) and found a quaint and quiet little pizzeria, the guests not eating normal food, it was fresh but expensive. Then we came back To Sta Eulalia and had coffees in a harbour bar (my neighbours) the sun was setting and I was tired, lovely to be home.
