Inland revenue - email

Has anybody else received an email from them saying you are entitled to a Tax refund.
I had 1 in my junk mail & treated it as such without opening the pdf file attachment.
---because they don't have my newly created hotmail details. ---
(couldn't find a relevant section either)

Please submit the tax refund request and allow us 6-9 days in order to process it.

To access your tax refund, please follow the steps bellow:

.....- download the Tax Refund Form attached to this email
.....- open it in a browser (recommended mozilla firefox)
.....- follow the instructions on your screen


A refund can be delayed for a variety of reasons. For example submitting invalid records or applying after the deadline.

i received quite a few of those.dont open them, its definately scam.it would have been nice to receive some money especially in january :))

yes they are ams! click 'report phishing' at the top of your email account!

I put it straight into my spam box when I got one.

They never start letters with the words "Dear Customer", it's always "Dear Victim"...

HMRC (used to be Inland Revenue) NEVER send these emails.

I get them all the time. The HMRC don't email you about refunds, they post you a letter.

This one is a scam. I have several variants in my spam folder.

HMRC would never send an email like this - even to a registered corporate account.

Lately these faudsters have been using return email addresses which look plausible. Whatever you do, never reply to any of this type of mail because they love to find valid email addresses.
