Shockwave Flash Crash

Anyone know what's causing me to get the following pop up on virtually every web page I visit, including AB:_

"The following plug-in has crashed: Shockwave Flash.

I am using Google Chrome as my browser. I have uninstalled Chrome and re-installed it but the problem persists. I has only started in the last couple of days.

Thanks for the advice folks.

I did try to re-install it but couldn't as it told me I already had it installed. I will look for an update and try that.
Both myself and a friend have had exactly the same problem ever since Friday. Whereas hers is stubbornly refusing to budge, mine will pick and choose whether it wants to work or not. I am guessing some update has installed itself which is causing these crashes.Sadly I haven't a clue how to resolve this issue other than changing my browser either.
I'm having this issue too. Intermittently getting exactly that message .
Have also tried updating, but it says that Chrome automatically updates, so I couldn't update it.
Isn't it annoying ?

Mind you , my internet is also playing up and intermittently cutting me off, which is also very annoying.
