it's a utility for securely deleting stuff from your computer.
Is it worth have?
Well that depends on if your computer has any information on it that you want to delete and make sure it's never going to be recoverable, for most users it's overkill (except maybe at the end of the computers life when you are going to get rid of it in some way)
