Can anyone help please. I have Avast security installed (the one you pay for) and all has been fine until the last couple of days. I keep getting a warning that the last update attempt was unsuccessful and to try again. When I look at the status it says the virus definitions are out of date so I click update engine and definitions and it says definitions are already up to date. So after OK it goes back to saying they are out of date and the warning message of an unsuccessful attempt keeps popping up in bottom right hand corner.??

Hi, I'd looked at that already from my own link but fell at first hurdle as I'm not aware I have a log-in password.
