Sound on pc

I have lost the sound on my pc. According to the system everything is ok. Can anyone out there give me any advice on how to recover this. Thanks

Yes I have checked that first, but thanks anyway

did you do any tweaking or 'tune-up'? i had similar problem and the fault was with the drivers.
