DVD Copying Problems

I've been given a homemade DVD comprising a number of freebie graphics manipulating applications which I thought I'd copy and return the original to its owner. These programmes are on a DVD+R (16x)

I've tried Nero 7, Roxio DVD Creator 6 and DVD-Cloner (didn't expect that one to work!) to no avail; each saying they are encountering errors during copying.

I'm trying to copy to DVD+RW (4x) - is that the problem????

If so, is there a simple solution???

You could try copying them to your hard drive first to see if that works. If it does then you could copy from the hard drive to a new DVD.
vas's suggestion is the best idea - seperate copy and burn

the slower the recording speed the better your chance - but burned discs rely on the accuracy of the burner as well as the quality of the disc
