Hello,

I have my main computer wired up for internet connection. Trouble is, its been working fine but now for about 2 weeks the connection is lost to this main computer! However, I can connect to the connection with my laptop wirelessly. How can my laptop connect but not my computer? I dont understand :(

Which operating system do you have on the desktop PC?

Is there a network icon in the bottom right corner, next to the clock (In Windows Vista this is two computers and a globe). Hover the mouse over it, what does it say?

I assume you have a wireless router and a network cable from this router to the desktop PC. Have you tried switching off the router and switching it on after a couple of minutes?

Have you tried restarting the PC?
