Help with Microsoft Word download

A few years ago I bought microsoft word 2000 to download to my comp.. Well now I have a new comp. and I want to download it to the new comp. but it ask for the 25 character product key that was on the back of the case. I do not have the case anymore. I just kept the CD. Is there anything I can do to still download it to my comp.?

Install belarc advisor on your computer with word installed on , it will list the product codes of all software you have installed.

Getting a key from the internet is rather risky. They often contain a trojan which you won't know about until it activates. Unless you have the exact right version they won't work anyway.
If you registered Word when you got it, simply ring Microsoft and they should be able to tell you instantly what programs are registered against your name and provide you with a key - if correctly registered.

Did you really have the key of Word on the back of your case? I note you downloaded the prog.
