How can I clear the address bar drop down history in ie, and make it a permanent thing. i'm using xp

hello ppl, well ur problem can be easily solved in a few easy steps.do the following: go to tools at the top toolbar, then click on internet options.there will be several headings such as homepage, ignore them,go to history.it will have the option to clear history. problem solved my friend :)
