Vista Task Manager ?

Is there the equivilent of XP task manager ? I have just purchased a new computer with Vista home premium and can't say I am to impressed ! If anything hangs I find it hust 'freezes' and I can't get into any form of Task Manager' Help !

Vista won't sleep

Any help appreciated. New PC with Vista Premium. Working fine but when put to sleep wakes up again by itself within a few seconds. Task manager says nothing running apart from windows system progs...
