Did you take Ethel's advice and buy some more RAM? It's not really advisable to go any further until you do...
I really don't know why you are so keen to upgrade to Vista.

However, if you are hell bent on it you will have to buy more RAM.

Use this site to find out exactly what you need:
http://www.crucial.com/uk/

It will scan your system and tell you how much RAM your system can take and what sort to buy. You don't have to buy from them.

Increasing RAM is easy, and you really should do it whether you decide to upgrade to Vista or not.

Thanks Ethel, I`m on your link and trying to understand how to install vista but to an old git it`s all very doo-dah. I may take your advise and forget it.

Yep, I give up. Thanks to all for your help, but I`m past it.
Did you click the 'scan my system' button?

What did it recommend? I think you'd see a big difference if you spent a few pounds and got your RAM up to 1GB. You wouldn't regret it.
Didn't see this one - have answered on other thread!
