for information zone alarm firewall problem

I've been innundated at work with machines losing their internet connections.

after a lot of headscratching and googleifying found the cause and solution - see

Most people got this problem about a week ago when Microsoft released their update.

Zonealarm have now issued an up-date, to solve this problem. I have installed this and put my Zonealarm internet slider from medium back to full.

In the process of installing the up-date it asked me if I wanted to switch on the MS firewall, i pressed OK will this affect anything?

so true vh - but seens to have been a phased update ... only hit us on tuesday ...

some of the other threads have become a little wordy
so seemed worth repeating.

yes it will ... make sure that the MS firewall is OFF
