Yes i have, its usually always on mains power anyway as its on a table and does`nt often get unplugged.
No little green light to tell you it's plugged in?

Nope no green light at all i did manage to get it going but now it wont turn on again !
Try changing the fuse in the mains power supply. Otherwise, it may be as simple as the power supply being shot or more complex. In the unlikely event of you knowing someone with a compatible mains lead, see if you can borrow it to rule out that as the problem (or possibly find out that it is the problem).

If not, try taking it back to the place of purchase and getting them to check. Be firm - in my experience most retail warranties are rubbish and the store will try their best not to do anything.
i had exactly the same - my laptop was charged but wouldnt turn on.

I took it to PC world and they said it could be a build up of static. They took the battery out and did a few simple things and it works now fine.

Cost nothing and was easy!
This may worked with a little technique we happened to discover where I work.

If the laptop is plugged in and switched on:-

Switch off the power to the laptop.

Remove power cable connector from laptop socket.

Close laptop lid, turn upside down and remove battery.

Put laptop right way up and open lid up again

Press and hold the the power button.

Close laptop lid, turn upside down and put the battery back in.

Plug in power lead, switch on mains power to laptop.

Open laptop lid and press and hold the power button.
Yes thats it Si - thats what PC world did - I just couldnt remember the order!!

thank you all for your answers,i tried the static thing and it worked on the second attempt, tho as its still under warrenty i`m getting it checked out just in case.one more question tho, what causes the static buildup in the first place? and can anything be done to prevent it?.
It's not a static thing I think it's just that windows sometimes does not shut down properly and the laptop gets stuck in standby mode.
