I have a new computer which has Vista but my Ipod wont update and keeps coming up with error 1417. I loaded all my stuff on using Windows XP. Any ideas on how to rectify this problem. Or are they not compatable.

Uninstall the old iTunes and Quicktime, restart, and then download the latest version from apple.com.

I have installed the latest version from itunes from the net on my new computer but still the error 1417.
