Hard to describe, but on Vista Using IE 7 at the top of the page there is a line which shows the current Page being viewed. ie, at present it shows Answerbank. At the end of that line before the Refresh and Stop signs, is a small downward pointing symbol If I move the Mouse pointer over it, another address appears for a site I have no wish to visit. Try as I might I cannot remove this address. How? Do I need to even?
TIA.

But we have never visited it, and in any case I have been to half a dozen other sites since posting this question, and it is the only site showing!
What is the address it shows? You may have spyware installed on your PC.
It is the browser history in the address bar.

What is the address?

The address is for a second hand bookseller. Other addresses appear and disappear, but this one stays there, even after turning off the Computer. Very odd.
