i can receive but not send mail from my outlook express. error no 0x800ccc0e............ any ideas on how to rectify this?

Unless you've changed your email settings it could be a corrupted file.

plowter - i've just managed to fix it :) for some strange reason my my port number had changed from 25 to 7362! everything seems fine now. thanks for your help tho

Good to hear you've fixed your problem.

If you get any other problems it might be worthwhile looking at your ISP's Technical Support FAQs. The main ISPs usually have a list of the common email problems and provide a step-by-step guide on how to fix them.
