Picasa 2

I have recently begun using Picasa 2, but I've run into difficulty (most likely because of my own lack of computer know-how). I want to make a gift CD comprising the contents of several folders. The program allows me to sort the folders by name before copying to disc, but I can't figure out how to sort the contents of the folders, by name or anything else. I sorted the contents of each folder by name in My Pictures/folder/View/Arrange icons by name, but when I opened the file in Picasa the order was different. Any help would be much appreciated.

I think Picassa sorts on the time/date the photo was taken. Mine always seem to be in that order.

In - view - on the Picassa toolbar you also have a sort option - called Folder View - that lets you sort by name as well. Try that and see if it works.

Thanks for your efforts Machecoul. I think
you're right about Picasa sorting on dates.
I'm not having any luck sorting with the folders,
so it seems the facility is not there. Oh well...
