it's me again.my husband has had the back off the laptop but he cant find the battery cell compartment and i wont let him mess in case he does anything to it.can anyone help .PLEASE.
Which make and model? There isn't normally a battery cell compartment as such - the battery appears as part of the case, and just slides out (usually from one side or the other)
rosjash, i have been told it's a cell battery,cr2032. i have just had it repaired but the time and date are not right. when we put the computer on a message comes on saying put the date right and the month. it's a samsung laptop.i would be grateful for any help. thanks, ginfran
I can't find anything specific for Samsung laptops but BIOS batteries on other makes are a complete pig to replace, they are on the motherboard and require an almost complete disassembly. If you have just had it repaired then I'd take it back to the repairer and tell them that you'd like it working properly, it really isn't something to be taking a shot at if you don't know what you're doing, without proper anti-static precautions you could damage essential components.
