Am changing my Internet tariff as its too expensive. I've been offered a cheaper one with 30gb a month! Now will this enough? I use phone mainly on wifi so  assume 30gb is when I'm out and on 5G? Or is this included in wifi? And will hubby have his own 30gb?

You've totally confused me.  Is this the data allowance for your phone SIM card or your home internet supplied by a hub/router?

Well everything I think. I don't understand it

Can you post a link to the tariff?

Do you pay a monthly fee for your phone and a separate one for your broadband, or is it altogether in one package?

^^ sorry I meant to say Mobile phone...

Question Author

Yes it's a monthly fee for everything. I cant show w the tariff as it was verbal !

There's 3 of us. Hubby rarely use his phone for anything. I use mine all day for FB etc and browsing. We all watching different streaming services at night. Firestick etc. Hardly ever make phone calls. I dont know how many gb I need for us all!

What I don't understand  is the WiFi included in the 30 gb or is it separate?

I must explain that I'm in Spain and deaf so speaking to them on rhe phone is very limited

If it's a SIM card it will be for your phone only and you will not have WiFi in your home. You can put your phone in to hot spot mode and your other devices and husband's phone can log in to that but only when they are close to your phone.  Everything will be using the phone's data allowance.

If it's a router you will have WiFi in the home but your phone won't have any service.

I suppose it could be a package of home broadband and a SIM for your mobile but your husband would not have a phone service.

If you are streaming TV through your fire stick I doubt 30GB would be enough.

That would be too roughly 60 hours of standard definition TV a month and nothing else.  Far less if HD

Question Author

Yes I don't think 30gb will be enough. It's very expensive at 71€ but atm Im paying 93€ and it does suit us all!

If you are using it for your Firestick that is obviously your home broadband.

How much do you pay for mobile SIM?
