Today seven people in my contacts list have emailed me saying that they have received an email from me which looks "dodgy" and they have not opened it. Two of them had some personal details of me.

Any ideas?

Perhaps also your email address aswell needs changing.

sammy...they have sen me for a verification code to enable me to change my password and THAT is accepted.

no need to change your email address; some robot has guessed your password, so you change it (preferably to something absolutely incomprehensible except that you can remember it instantly).

Sqad...your email address book has been compromised. This happened to my niece last year. You need to change your password asap. I know its a pain in the gluteus maximus, but we all need to do this more often. I now change my password on the 1st of every month.

Malware-bytes showed no infectious objects.
Password changed.
