on my desktop.

I did some updates a couple of days ago, which have left a picture of a disc on the bottom right of the screen (not in the bar at the bottom, sorry but I don't know the correct terminology), but on the actual screen. It's says Data Disc on the top of the picture, + Cyberlink on the bottom, + some numbers 0.02/4.38GB.
It's about 2"x1"
Now I do have Cyberlink, but haven't actually used it yet on this laptop.

HP15-g)94sa 15" Laptop - Purple ;)
Thanks in advance + anticipation.
Oh, nearly forgot....Chrome ;)

Question Author
It actually says Cyberlink YouCam services.
Errmm....how do I delete it then, please?

x x
Click on it in Task Manager then click 'end process' at the bottom right of the panel.
Question Author
Haven't got an End Process, but got End Task, is that the same?
And do I need to just highlight Cyberlink thing?

x
Yes, End Task is the same thing and yes, just highlight it first
Question Author
Thanks hc. Done that, + pic is still there :(

x x
Go back in to task manager and see if there is another Cyblerlink process (there can be several) and end that one, too.

If that doesn't work you'll have to open Cyberlink and have a fiddle with the settings
Question Author
Wah hay!! Thanks so much hc! Found a Power to Go Desktop Burning Gadget, got rid of that, + pic has gone :)

Will I have any trouble if I want to burn a disc in the future though :/

x x
No, you won't. If you want to use the program again it will work fine. You haven't deleted anything, just stopped it running for now.

Now you have found task manager, open it again and click on the 'start up' tab, this tells you all the programs that start automatically whenever you boot up.
If you see anything there relating to Cyberlink, click it and then click 'disable' otherwise you may have the same problem next time you boot up the pc.

eek!...wish my printer was working so I don't have to write all these instructions by hand, lol :D That's actually the next job I've got sceduled for today,...to introduce my wireless printer to lappy...I managed it when it was new, but In had to do a restore factory settings a week or two ago (don't ask, lol), so I lost the printer.
Ok, will go back into task manager.......
You should be able to read the task manager alongside answerbank, Baths.
Question Author
Eh, Wha?....I've no idea what you mean by alongside, but not to worry.
I've been back in, + can't see anything more related to Cyberlink or Power To Go. There's a hell of a lot of stuff there I'm clueless about..., like Bonjour Service, Andrea Filters, Adaptive Sleep Service....what's that all about then?

x x
Bonjour service is related to your printer; Andrea is for your microphone; Adaptive Sleep controls the 'sleep' function of your pc when you are not using it.

Don't touch ANYTHING you are unsure of but if you see anything in there that you do recognise but don't need to start up on boot (such as Skype, printer, programs that you don't use all the time) click on them and disable.

Your boot up time will be much faster if it's not starting a load of unnecessary programs.

You can always re-enable them.

Question Author
Thanks soooo much hc, I'm extremely grateful for all your help...(and patience, lol) :)
Now then,.....are you going to be around for the next hour or so?.......;)

Gawd, what are you doing now?

By the way, when you open task manager do you close your browser first?
Question Author
I'm doing me printer next!
When I've been going into Task Manager I've just been minimizing AB page....

x x
No need to minimize, just leave your browser open and the task manager will open on top, so you can read AB and your TM at the same time.

Good luck with the printer
Question Author
Did that but couldn't read AB cos Task Manger obscured it...:(

Thanks for good luck wish!

x x
Yay !

Wow many posts whist I was away !
Question Author
Hi OG....oh yep, you missed all the fun....;)

Errmm,....hc...are you there? Ach, who needs a printer anyway? On the plus side, I found a load of dust, a grape + a BranFlake down there ;)

Oh yep, as well as failing to connect the printer to the lappy, I lost the internet connection + had to make a call to Virgin :)
