on my desktop.

I did some updates a couple of days ago, which have left a picture of a disc on the bottom right of the screen (not in the bar at the bottom, sorry but I don't know the correct terminology), but on the actual screen. It's says Data Disc on the top of the picture, + Cyberlink on the bottom, + some numbers 0.02/4.38GB.
It's about 2"x1"
Now I do have Cyberlink, but haven't actually used it yet on this laptop.

HP15-g)94sa 15" Laptop - Purple ;)
Thanks in advance + anticipation.
Oh, nearly forgot....Chrome ;)

Tut. Task manager is easy peasy

Question Author
*bump*....never saw this in Latest Posts.....
New ones don't always get seen there for ages. not sure why.

So is it a shortcut, or an application/programme or a folder/directory or what ?

Unsure why a right click and delete option doesn't work, but know what it is first.
Question Author
Hi OG. Right clicking on it does nothing, neither does left clicking, although I've just hovered over it + a window opened for Cyberlink with disc burning opetions on it.
Apologies, I know nothing of cyberlink.

If I had to guess I'd guess you had it running permanently in the background and it is superimposing this way of using it onto your wallpaper. Try finding cyberlink in task manager and stopping it.
If that works then next time you run it have a look at the cyberlink options. Maybe you can switch off the visuals.

Whoa whoa there!! Steady on OG! Where do I find task manager? Windows 8.1

I think you have somehow set Cyberlink to burn something to a disk and it is waiting for the next instruction.

Similar to the 'print queue' message you get when your printer can't print for some reason.

control alt delete, wait for the menu, choose task manager
What version of Windows are you running?
Question Author
said up there ^ ^ hc, 8.1

Quick way to get task manager is to right click on the windows icon bottom left and click Task Manager.

Does the disc burning options include 'cancel'?
Question Author
Will have a look, hc,...brb >>>>
