I still believe there was something in it

Come on now hc, you'll be gunning for the Loch Ness monster next. :-)
Bambi ;-(
I've heard that too hc 4361, but it was/is a good landmark to lead students to Bobby's Bar a few yards away.

Was Lassie a real heroic dog too?
The Green Mile. I've seen it loads of times and cried every time.
Hachi- a Dog's Tale, watched about 6 months ago,and I sobbed, like a baby at the end, and I don't mean ladylike tears gracefully rolling down my cheeks, I mean I was a sobbing, gulping, snotty mess, it just broke my heart!

I do not recommend watching this members of your family, who, if they're like mine, will rip you to shreds with no mercy whilst you're a gibbering wreak.
try to avoid these kinds of films, tire me out too much, any sad film with animals a no no!
Sorry, hc4361, but it's the debunk that's rubbish, and you shouldn't have believed it.

Clement Dunn was an orphan educated at Heriot's in the 1860's. He went on to University, to a career as a doctor in the Peebles area, and in retirement to become a noted church architecture historian. His autobiography ("Leaves from the Life [or Diary] of a Country Doctor" includes in chapter 1 his memories of playing with and petting Bobby in Greyfrars Kirkyard when they were let out on a Friday to go home for the weekend. Since the aiography was written in the early 1930's, bang goes the conspiracy theory.
