Think my trusty PC is on it's last legs. I'm looking for a laptop for moderate internet use, emailing and skyping. Don't have a huge amount of photos, any music and only occasionally use it for TV catch up. Must have spider solitaire though! Have BT broadband and I think, wi fi but don't really understand that, sorry. Can anyone recommend a suitable laptop for me. Thank you.

Almost any laptop will do what you want.

Fix yourself a price, then look round for any deals (REAL deals not pretend PC World deals).

Go for a decent brand with a "name" rather than a cheap "badged" laptop from certain shops.

Probably best to see what is around after Xmas when the sales start.

Thank you VHG I'll take your advice on 'badged' ones. Merry Christmas to you.
If you are only going to use the laptop at home, go for the biggest screen you can afford. Personally, I would opt for a 17inch if your budget will go to it.
