Why Cant I Go Full Screen On Youtube Anymore?

If I go full screen, the picture retreats up to the corner of my monitor and the rest of the screen is black, youtube will then usually crash, the same with videos I try to watch from this site, if I try to go full screen it causes problems.

Just a stab in the dark but try updating or re installing Flash Player (I think that's what YouTube uses)
