How did you install Windows in the first place if you dont have the disk?

If you delete Windows off the laptop then you will need a copy of Windows to reinstall it. This can either be the Windows actual disk, or a copy of Windows you have (legally) downloaded from the internet.

its a new laptop with windows 7 installed , when i was starting it up and loading up windows the bar moved to portugese when i hit the ok language tab hence didnt get english. trying now to get it into english any ideas please
tried to change language on the clock regions etc but no luck
You can change the display langauge as follows

1. Go to Start -> Control Panel -> Clock, Language, and Region / Change the display language

2. Switch the display language in the Choose a display language dropdown menu.

3. Click OK

4. Log off for the changes to take effect (This will affect only the user profile under which you are currently logged on).
After doing more research it may seem you can only change language by using Windows Ultimate and Windows Enterprise.

So those commands above will not work if you have Windows 7 Home Premium.

I suggest you search in Google for "Change Windows 7 language" to see if you can find some help.
