Hi

I want to convert all my DVD collection to AVI format so I can (a) Have a backup (b) Keep them all on a 2TB drive to save finding / loading the DVD and (c) be able to watch them on portanle devices (iPad2 especially).

Can you please give your opinions of which of the many DVD rippers on the market are worth consideration.

Thanks.

PS I looked at some and they won't output AVI. Those ones are no use to me as my iPad player only reads AVI
