heard of this from a friend who said it was totally free.my wife told me of a colleague who did get it free from a website.what i found was it had to be paid for.does anyone know this famous website?

There is a paid AVG version too which has more functions, but for the average home user the free one is quite sufficient.

I've used the free program for years with no problem.

There's a great anti - tracker feature which kills off lots of those targeted adverts....

Watch out for sites which try to charge for the free version.
