IE, Firefox, Chrome, etc - which one should I use ????

I had to re-install IE onto my destop PC recently after a few issues.
People keep going on about how I should ditch IE and switch to Firefox, or whatever.
My desktop PC runs on Win XP with IE8 (I'm fairly sure this is the latest version for Win XP) and my laptop runs on Win Vista with IE9.

Which browser do you use, which is best and more importantly, WHY ?

Should I ditch IE and use one of the other browsers ?

We're very happy with IE9, we've got no intention of changing.
Firefox because it has the add-ons that enable me to do things that other browsers (including Chrome) don't.
Yes but WHAT things, bibblebub? No point in having featres that you don't need/use
they are all carefully selected for the functionality that they provide
I agree with bibblebub.

Ron.
PS. Although I am 'addicted' to Firefox, I would make the point that there are merits with the top three Browsers and it is a matter for individuals to select one which meets their requirements. I am not a Techie but I am aware that the majority of AB's Computer experts have opted for Google Chrome.

Perhaps the following will assist your decision on matters:-

Google Chrome seems to have the least problems for me.
There is nothing intrinsically wrong with Microsoft IE8 or IE9. The Adobe Shockwave Flash browser plug-in software used to drive the adverts on the AB site is a heap of sh*te which eats CPU and leaks memory. Because this "software" does not work in Google Chrome one can get the wrong impression that Google Chrome is a better browser on the AB site.
Chrome for me. No nonsense reliable browser.
