Java

I have a problem with Java. I use the BBC Weather site and I need Java in order to save locations. Its says that if I have Java, it will be listed under :

Tools
Internet Options
Advanced
Settings

I checked and Java wasn't listed, so I downloaded it. But it still hasn't appeared when I check on the above location. I tried to download Java again but the website said I already have it !

Where do I go from here ?

I forgot to add that I run Windows Vista
Did you actually install Java? It's not enough to just download it. After downloading, you need to run the downloaded file to install Java.
