copy and paste in windows7

i have windows7 on my laptop and when i try to copy and paste from the internet it doesn't work properly. i can copy but when i come to paste it says there is too much information, i thought it a bit strange and tried with fewer and fewer words, eventually even one word was too much to paste. does anyone have any ideas please? i can copy and paste to and from documents created with the word processor okay and i can copy and paste from a word processed document to emails. i never had this problem on older set ups. i am not 100% brilliant with computers.

There are no capital letters in your post, indicating that the Shift keys might not be working properly. If that's the case, it's possible that Control keys aren't working either. When was the last time the keyboard was cleaned...?
LOL

You could try pasting into notepad first and then into your word processor, pasting into notepad will remove any formatting or anything like pictures you may have copied along with the text.

it's relativly new laptop and i don't let food get near it. ctrl works with corying and saving pictures from the internet.
Well, the Shift key certainly doesn't appear to be working...
I have this problem when trying to copy and paste in Microsoft Works. However, when I click on paste, there is another choice comes up called 'special paste', and if I click on that there is no problem. Yours might have the same option.
