Desktop display

I've just changed the wallpaper on my desktop. On the previous one I had a black margin to right and left of the picture, which displayed the shortcuts clearly. I can't remember how I did it last time; have tried fiddling on Control Panel but obviously haven't found the correct clicks yet. Could you help, please? Windows 7 and Google Chrome, though my previous one was fixed when I was using IE8.

There is a way to save an image as your background even though the company I work for has blocked this option from the user. I have done this before but can't remember how. I have tried right clicking...

hi how do i delete all the pics in display settings,apart from the default ones obviously but i want to delete a lot i have used in the past and are still on in "desktop" cheers...
