have had a message from AVG saying it has detected an unusually high usage of internet explorer (259 something or other) - it suggests I close down then restart the application. Don't use my computer that much so am at a loss to understand why. Apart from that, how do I close down then restat IE and is it necessary? Thank you - btw am an idiot with the interenet so very simple terms please! Appreciate any help.

1) It's almost certainly AVG being overly paranoid! it's really not the best free solution for AV about at the moment (look at replacing it... http://windows.micros...s/security-essentials )

2) you close IE by clicking on the cross in the top right while you are using IE, you restart it by opening IE again using the normal icon.

am getting this notification again. What I don't understand is a)why AVG is notifying me and b)what closing IE down and restarting it achieves - each time I shut down my computer it's closed down surely?
