I had flash player 9.0.283.0 installed on my computer by tried to upgrade to Flash plaer 10. Now when try to play videos I get the Blue screen. I cannot find where I can download the old version again. Adobe have a list of archived players but I dont seem to be able to download them .
Use the removal tool found on their pages first ..
Then reboot and download latest flash player, install.
Don't use old versions .. They are/can be trouble .. apart from having security problems.
That's one of the reasons they are updated.
Thanks Albags but I have tried waht you suggest and agree that would be the ideal solution, however I still get the BSOD . It would seem that i am not alone in this
Thanks Albags but I have tried this and still get the BSOD. I agree that this woulkd be the best option but I cannot make it work. I think that this is quite a common problem.
Do a Drive scan and auto repair from My Computer (R Click drive/properties/tools/error checking .. not full scan)
What browser are you using?
You mean when you try to play flash content on web-pages .. it crashes .. right?
Flash player is NOT for playing .flv files .. you need to add a codec to your system to allow playback for this format.
Post back if you want a link. flv will then play in most common players WITHOUT installing other players/programmes.
