Google web page not the complete size.

This page has the bottom shrunk up so the bottom bar is always seen,also the top shows all the stuff.File,Edit,History,Bookmarks,Tools and Help.But the desktop picture can be seen for in the background for aout 1 inch. Windows explorer is the same. Any ideas? Thanks

Double-clicking the title bar of any window will make it expand to fill the screen.
Don't take this the wrong way, but it amazes me that a quarter of a century after Windows was released, there are people who still don't know even the basics.

OK ..
I'll have a go at this most puzzling challenge ..
On the upper RH Corner .. HOVER on the centre icon .. does it say 'maximise' or 'restore down'?
If it says 'maximise' and you click it .. what happens?

I have did this and the page goes down to a usual smaller size but the page is excactly the same no matter what size. Thanks Albags
