Looks like our King is making his mark, well don him
How do you know he is furious?
I don't know, I suspect he's still at risk, not because he's pals with a paedophile but because he's a royal. I think the public would be shocked if a member of the royal family was attacked (or worse), even a reprobate like Andrew. If that's so, he should have security.
Can anyone explain to me how it costs £3m per annum (£60,000 a week) to provide this protection?
Think Andrew has done enough Bodyguarding himself Especially with young girls.
He doesn't seem to get out enough to require security guards. What does he actually do with his days? Walk the corgis?

Yes. It is because we let plod do it instead of employing professionals.
and his brother, apparently, is pishhed off as KCIII wants to give the title Duchess of Edinburgh to Princess Charlotte, as she in #3 in the line of inheritance. I would have thought this is a bit of a snub to Edward and Sophie, particularly given their closeness to Her Maj.
Just back from the reference section of The Real World Library and can confirm that none of this matters a rats.
It does when he wants the taxpayer to stump up £60k a week.
does that cover the cost of him going to see his broads or any off-shoot sproglets?
DTC, apparently the thinking behind that is in tribute to the late Queen - the last woman to hold he title.
He made the bed - now lie on it.
It's time we junked the lot of them - must be one of the most dysfunctional families in the realm.
One of the arguments I saw about the DoE not going to Edward was that it was hereditary, so would go to his son on his death and so would break away from the immediate royal family. Giving the title to Charlotte can have exactly the same result; it's unlikely that she will become queen (although not impossible) so, on her death, the title will pass to her eldest child and away from the close royal family.
Surely the funds can come from the Royal estates?
davebro - I'd rather we junked the England football team; they cost just as much, although indirectly, and give pleasure to fewer people.
I don't DO football

I wonder if King Charles (still getting used to that) would have bailed him out? Ten million for an innocent man.

I thought I read Charles coughed up £7m and the Queen supplied the rest. £12m in all I think. That said, he committed no crime.
