Funds are being raised to Buy and Name a Life Boat or Hovercraft named after, Farage.
Will it be used to escort migrants from France to UK ? . Should they name it Brexitanic instead.

Tsk tsk Danny, Don't rain on Gully’s parade ;))
Has he now got a proper job - Farage ?
Try as i might, i cannot find anywhere that gives the daily breakdown cost of running a lifeboat at £440,000 as Farage claims.
In 2020, the ANNUAL cost of running Redcar lifeboat station was £50,000.
I think he’s talking about running the whole organisation. The RNLI puts the cost at almost £140million.

Over £73,000 of the target £100,000 has been raised in just a few days. You can donate here…

That would be £16.6Million annually.

Ooops!

A RNLI Hovercraft costs £400,000.
So even if the £100,000 target is reached, they will only be a quarter of the way there.
I don’t see the point of this figure-juggling. Farage doesn’t want an RNLI vessel named after him.

The question is, would said boat/hovercraft be used to escort migrants? The answer is who knows? It’s just another of gulliver’s muck-raking questions.
It's good that they are naming a boat after our most successful politician.
....in fact I feel an avatar change coming on!
Interesting random use of punctuation in the OP Gully. I guess after being away from the UK for so long, your ability to speak English is on the wain.

Ha ha, 'Sir' Nigel has really got under the lefts skin hasn't he.

Kepp it up Nigel.

Tora - //that's what you get when your IQ = your shoe size me old china!//

Gully must have tiny feet then.

Oh dear , I seem to have upset John Bull and the other Farage supporter on A/B . Never mind they will get over it eventually.
I was confused by the "£440,000" figure. I had a look on the RNLI site for running costs and it's £400,000 per year for a hovercraft.

https://rnli.org/about-us/how-the-rnli-is-run/running-costs
// RNLI site for running costs and it's £400,000 per year for a hovercraft. //

I think that is the purchase cost of 1 hovercraft.
