The reason I ask is a my wife for many years now has worked for a young farming family once a week/fortnight looking after their children and performing domestic tasks.
This morning the young lady "of the manor" dropped in a massive pile of ironing to be done while she goes to the big smoke for the day including underwear, tea towels, bath towels, floor mats etc.

I was surprised, my wife shrugged her shoulders, said "she pays for it, who cares".
