yeah arksided because they only do 3 weeks don't they! right oh! PMSL
I was waiting for some statement like that, they're not in the same atmosphere and tested every week though are they... err... wait a minute.
Laura Trott for me!
Personally I would vote for Nick Skeleton I think but Sir Mo or Andy Murray otherwise.
Mo Farah is British. He might live and train abroad a lot of the year but that is one reason he's a world beater. An all time great, as is Murray. But we are spoiled for choice.
'Skelton' (!)
i don't think trining and living abrod disqualidies you - doesn't hamilton live in a tax haven somewhere.?
Andy Murray & Mo
Is Laura Trott in with a shout?
Athletes are better for training in different climates. We don't really get different climates in the UK.
they wont give it Murray, that would be 3 times in 4 years.
I rest my case. My vote if allowed by the OP would go to Jamie Vardy.
Mo and team to the hockey team, but what would be better would be the GB team en masse.....
They will win some awad en-masse I'm sure. Unfortunately it's personality of the year award... not the gestalt.
I always find it an irony that they call this 'Sports Personality' when the winner usually doesn’t really have one!

The problem is not the sports person – they are athletes not holiday camp reps, the problem is the naming of the contest – it should have a different title.

Proof, if any were needed was the attempt to make Tom Daley interesting with a couple of documentary strands on TV which failed utterly because, away from a diving board, he is about as interesting as a paperclip.

I would give it to the ladies’ hockey captain.
does mrs hughes know that, andy?

:-)

As sports fans we enjoyed watching the female hockey team play and doing excellently well, on the personality part Andy Hughes I totally agree with you.

If they made it the "BBC Sports Person Of The Year" it would make a lot more sense. To put 'personality' and 'sports person' in the same sentence doesn't really work as most of them when interviewed cannot lift their verbal skills above the level of "You know . . . you know"
Sad but true.
^agreed Baldric like Andy was suggesting. lol at Mushroom though :)
shame there isn't an award for Sports Personality and Failure of the Year.....one person who lives down this way?
