Watched the Brownlees win their medals but couldn't help but think that their mother is failing in her duty of care. Whenever i regularly beat my younger brother at table tennis or monopoly (or anything else, for that matter) my mother would always admonish me with the words, "Now let him have a turn at winning!" And i always did because mum had a 'gammy' hand in which she had no feeling and that was the one she used when landing us one around the ear:-) :-)

No the American relay team should not be allowed to re-run i.m.o.. Olympic rules sometimes vary from the norm, but a dropped baton is a disqualification in all the rule books I have.
