I didn't say England should appoint a foreigner, I just said they shouldn't rule foreigners out. They've done wonders for other sports, and there's no reason why they couldn't do the same in football - *if* you pick the right person.

The problem is mate the players just ain't good enough I'm afraid. The manager can make a lot of difference but in the end the players on the pitch have to perform. They just ain't hungry enough.

It would seem like the obvious answer to me too, but I know nothing about football; I only suspect that if an endless series of managers can't get anything out of the players, then maybe there's nothing to get.

That would be my assessment as well jno - it's the inability of Premier League players to gel as a unit that seems to me to be the issue - and I not sure that any manager can do much about that.
